TSI Seeking Faculty Trainers for Risking Connection for IDD Organizations

Written by Steve Brown, PsyD | November 30, 2021

The Traumatic Stress Institute (TSI) of Klingberg Family Centers is seeking to hire contracted Faculty Trainers for our Risking Connection Trauma Training as adapted for organizations serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

In 2020, TSI, an international leader in the trauma-informed care (TIC) movement, made a strategic decision to offer our training and consultation services in the IDD sector. In 2021, we launched the first-of-its-kind Pilot TIC Learning Collaborative for IDD organizations, a 16-month initiative involving four IDD agencies across the US.

As our work grows in this sector, TSI needs experienced, licensed IDD professionals to train, coach, and spread the word about our work. Risking Connection is our foundational trauma training that is a core component of TSI’s Whole Systems Change Model to TIC.

TSI’s mission is to foster the transformation of organizations and systems to trauma-informed care through the delivery of whole-system consultation, professional training, and research. We currently support 83 client agencies and service systems in 22 US states, 2 Canadian provinces, and Jamaica in their journey to TIC culture change.
